Roselle Jewelry Care Guide

Regardless of the metal you choose, take the following steps to keep your jewelry polished and scratch-free:

  • Store jewelry in separate jewelry boxes or compartments to avoid scratches.

  • Clean jewelry with mild detergent and warm water, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

  • Do not scrub precious metals with an adult toothbrush. To remove hard dirt from crevices, you can gently use a soft-bristled children's toothbrush.

  • Remove jewelry during manual work or sports to avoid scratches, when using harsh chemicals, and when swimming in chlorinated water.

  • Contact Roselle Jewelry for regular inspections, especially if your jewelry contains diamonds or gemstones, as some items may require special care.

RZ Synthetic Diamond and Diamond Cleaning:

1. First, check the prongs

Dirt is sometimes the only thing sticking to the bottom of the stone, especially if it is an old piece of jewelry or has not been cleaned for a long time.

Be careful when scrubbing, hold it directly and use a towel to wipe. Never wipe on the sink or floor. If the jewelry is loose, secure it first before cleaning it yourself.

2. Mix ammonia-based cleaning solution and warm water for diamonds

Common ammonia-based cleaners (such as windex or blue magic) mix one cup of warm water and 1/4 cup of ammonia in a bowl.

Do not place the diamond directly in the mixture. Instead, take a soft toothbrush and dip it into the mixture (skip this step if you clean frequently)

3. Soak in a mixture of warm water and dish soap

Use a cup of water and a few drops of dish soap (e.g., Red Magic). Place the jewelry in the mixture. Let the jewelry soak for about 20 minutes before removing it.

4. Scrub with a soft brush

Gently scrub the diamond with a toothbrush that has been dipped in the mixture. Make sure to get into small areas and the bottom of the stone while cleaning the main parts of the jewelry.

If you are using a platinum prong diamond, this ammonia-based mixture can clean both the diamond and the setting. (Make sure the toothbrush is only used for cleaning jewelry)

5. Rinse with warm water After scrubbing, rinse the jewelry with warm water.

If you are cleaning multiple pieces of jewelry, rinse each piece separately.

Then, place the diamond or gemstone on a paper towel to air dry. Once dried, store them in a safe place.

6. Clean with commercial jewelry cleaner.

If the jewelry is not as polished as you want, you can purchase a commercial jewelry cleaner. Cleaners can be purchased online or at jewelry stores.

Be sure to ask the jeweler if your jewelry can withstand commercial cleaners before use. (The directions for using commercial jewelry cleaners depend on the type of cleaner you have. Please read the instructions carefully before use)

Pearl Care

Pearls contain organic calcium carbonate, which has poor chemical stability and can be corroded by acids and alkalis.

Pearl jewelry care is similar to caring for our skin, requiring careful attention.

Daily Care

Pearls are organic gemstones and can be easily corroded by acids or other chemicals. To avoid sweat containing acidic components from damaging the luster of pearls,

please wipe off sweat and dirt with a soft silicone cloth after wearing. Additionally, avoid contact with acidic substances such as salad dressing and fruit juice.

Hairspray, perfume, nail polish remover, and other cosmetics can also damage the luster of pearls, so be sure to wear jewelry after applying makeup. When wearing,

keep away from kitchen fumes. The large amount of fumes in the kitchen while cooking can easily attach to the surface of pearls, causing them to turn yellow. Avoid proximity to heat sources as well, as absorbing moisture can cause pearls to lose their luster.

Storage Method

Although pearls are more resilient and less likely to break than other gemstones, they have low hardness and are easily worn. With slight negligence, the surface can be scratched.

When storing pearls, avoid collisions with hard objects or contact with other jewelry. Be sure to store them individually in a velvet jewelry box.

Avoid Sun Exposure and Keep Moisture

Pearls themselves contain a certain amount of moisture, which maintains their shine and luster.

Therefore, avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. Do not store them in dry places. You can place a cup of water nearby to allow the pearls to absorb moisture appropriately.

Pearl Cleaning Method

1. Make a mixture Use a cup of water and a few drops of shampoo. Any type of shampoo can be used. Pour the shampoo and water into a bowl and stir with a spoon or other utensil.

2. Use a makeup brush to clean the pearls Do not immerse the pearls directly into the mixture. Instead, use a small, clean makeup brush. Dip the makeup brush into the mixture.

Brush each pearl with the makeup brush. Make sure to clean every part of the pearl, even the parts near the clasp.

3. Wipe clean with a damp cloth Use a wrung-out damp cloth. Gently wipe the pearls with the damp cloth to rinse off the mixture.

Let the pearls air dry on the soft dry cloth initially laid out.

4. Practice preventive measures

Pearls are fragile and easily damaged by harsh cleaning methods. Always put on pearl jewelry after applying makeup and spray products. Clean immediately after sweating.
